Have you ever been more than content? Have you ever had a day when the ordinary became extraordinary? Nothing really changed, yet everything was different?
Today was like that. It was a cold day. It was a typical day. There was nothing out of the ordinary happening, yet there was something so extraordinary taking place. It was delight. Plain and simple delight. Delight in Jesus Christ.
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Psalm 37:4
His Word is alive. It is LIFE. I breathe every syllable in. Deeply. Excited by what it is doing in me. Excited by the One who dwells in every sound. Excited by His presence. Enamored by His love for me. Kept by His very presence. Empowered by His Spirit. Rejoicing in the work of His hands. Grateful and Blessed by His Body. Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. Ephesians 2:19-20
DELIGHT. DELIGHTFUL. DELIGHTED.
DELIGHTED IN.
The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17
May your heart and mine be deeply satisfied and take delight in Jesus Christ. May your heart and mine breathe His word in deeply bringing LIFE ABUNDANT. May your heart and mine recognize how He delights over us. May we experience the incredible gift the Body of Christ is. May we continue to gather in His Name and watch Him move mightily in our midst. Thank You Jesus!
