Temperature can be defined as how hot or cold the body is. Lately, my body has gone through some temperature changes, rendering me HOT most of the time. It has it’s pro’s and con’s. I can endure the elements better, but when I am indoors, I feel like I may humanly combust.
The Word of God mentions temperature when referencing our relationship to God.
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm–neither hot nor cold–I am about to spit you out of my mouth. Revelation 3:15-16
Lukewarm. It seems ideal. A comfortable place. But here, lukewarm makes Our God want to spit us out!!!
When I think about my life in relationship to God, I think of my cold, hard heart towards Him or times when my heart has been on FIRE for Him. But what about the times when my heart is neither? What then? Is it that I’m not concerned about God at all? Is being lukewarm being dishonest before God?
Why is lukewarm something that is not palatable for Our Lord?
May my heart and yours steer clear of lukewarmness. May we be in the will of God and bring His Kingdom come into all areas of our lives and the lives of others. May You give us wisdom as to why lukewarm is so distasteful to You Father. May we seek You with our whole hearts and be filled with Your abundant LIFE! In Jesus’ name.
Jesus Christ has won it all. He has won back our relationship with GOD ALMIGHTY. He won it all for you and He won it all for me. More than the choice you make during this election, the greater choice is this: Will you choose Jesus to be your Lord and Savior? He is the lover of Your soul and He knocks on the door of your heart hoping that you will answer the call. In a time of so much uncertainty, one thing remains. Jesus has victory over sin and over death. All other ground that you may choose to stand on is sinking. Jesus Christ is the winner of the battle over death. What will you choose? Life or Death. I choose LIFE. LIFE. LIFE. He is a sure thing. He is not a man that He would lie. He is the author and finisher of our faith. He is and always was and always will be. Where will your hope lie? In a world that is passing away or in the ONE that can give you eternal life? Choosing Jesus will be the best thing and the MOST IMPORTANT thing you will ever choose. Do it. Don’t wait. The time is here and the time is now. Simply invite Him in. He’s been waiting. You will never again be the same. Lord Jesus, we ask You to take hold of us. We surrender our lives to you. We proclaim that we have sinned against You and we receive Your forgiveness. Come into our hearts. Make Your home in us. We choose You. We love You because YOU FIRST LOVED US!!! Thank You Jesus!!! Ah, now that is the ticket! All of heaven rejoices!!! LIFE. LIFE. LIFE.
