Who are the “hopeless”? Who comes to mind when you hear that title? Is it the ones that are at some sort of disadvantage? Why do you and I deem people “hopeless”?
For me, I would say that the “hopeless” are people that can’t see their hopes and dreams come true, whether they are “over the top” dreams or not. They either want something unattainable OR they don’t believe they can get anything they truly do want, so why hope?
Regardless of that, there is HOPE for the HOPELESS. Even while they are hopeless, there is HOPE!!!
For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory. Colossians 1:27
May my heart and yours remember that even when we are hopeless, there is hope. We are not the hope givers. We are the hope receivers. May we pray that we would grow closer to Christ and be filled with the hope of glory: Christ in us. May we pray for those we deem hopeless and believe they will enter into a relationship with You Lord. In Jesus name!
Lately, I’ve realized how much I need help in one way or another. I’ve also listened to a friend express her need of more help as she is growing older. I’ve been painfully independent for a long time now, and often times too proud to ask for help. But LIFE was not made for independent living. We need each other and we need to ask for help from time to time. Perhaps more often than we think. There are others who have more experience than we do, or have gone through similar things, or who have done extensive research in areas where we NEED HELP and we could only benefit from those things. Why not ask?
Jesus has gone through everything we could ever be troubled with. He is amazing! He knows every need we have. He is our Provider.
God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
Psalm 46: 1-3
May my heart and yours know that in every situation there is and can ever be, Jesus goes before us and He is also with us. May we remember Him and cry out in our times of need. Jesus saves!!
SPRING is filled with new birth. LIFE is being rejuvenated as the dormant season of WINTER ends. Dormant simply means inactive. It doesn’t mean DEAD. It is a season of inactivity. Sure, some stuff dies. But much of what we hope for is simply lying dormant, waiting for it’s time. Yes, waiting for it’s time.
A Time for Everything
3 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
9 What do workers gain from their toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. 13 That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. 14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him. Ecclesiastes 3: 1-14
As we continue to SPRING forward, following Jesus, may your heart and mine embrace His PERFECT timing. Thank You that You make everything beautiful in it’s time. Thank You for different seasons in which to rest, grow, flourish and let go. May we recognize the work of Your hand in every season and rejoice and give thanks in all of it. May your heart and mine take TIME to experience all the LIFE You have for us! In Jesus name. We LOVE YOU!
It is always springtime in the heart that loves God.
